My Favorite Part of Working at Nichols Cauley is...
"The relationships—both with clients and with our team. Every day is different, and I enjoy being able to work across industries while helping people solve real problems."
About Karl
Karl knows a thing or two about focus and follow-through. As a former youth bowling state champion—and now a proud "girl dad" of three—he knows that success rarely happens by accident. Each frame or phase of life requires preparation, consistency, and staying calm when it matters most.
Karl brings that same steady approach to his work, leading a 10-person audit team. He stays closely involved in every phase of an engagement—from early planning conversations to final deliverables. But his role goes beyond the audit. Clients often turn to him as a year-round advisor—someone who can help connect the dots across accounting, tax, and business strategy. Internally, Karl is just as focused on people as he is on process. He enjoys mentoring his team, helping younger professionals grow, and creating an environment where everyone is aligned and moving forward together.
CLIENT SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT
Karl worked with a new
construction client to help them understand and take advantage of the Employee
Retention Credit—resulting in about $2M in refundable tax credits that the
client was not aware of. Over the next several years, Karl served as the client's
year-round advisor, maintaining accurate books and financials that eventually
led to a successful $20M transaction.
